Marketing teams deserve recognition for the not-always-glossy work they do behind the scenes to build, manage, and report on marketing campaigns. And that’s the goal of the MarDreamies Awards. Join us as we welcome this year’s true Marketing heroes and reveal who will take home the MarDreamies trophy for 2023!
Speaker 0: Across our four, um, across our four categories, and then the session recordings will be available to you shortly after the event. And as always, a big thank you to our incredible sponsors. This event would not be a success without your continued support. And I am joined today to recognize today’s MarDreamies winners by Marcos Duran, Julie Rasco, Chris Zullo, Bill Futter, and Jen Kazin, who you’ll hear from in just a little bit. And now I’ll hand it off to Marcos to share a little bit about the origin of the MarDreamies. Marcos, I think you’re on mute.
Speaker 1: Thanks. Thanks for that, uh, Christina. Yes. Uh, welcome everyone to the end of day two of MarDreamin. Doing the all that over wouldn’t be MarDreaming without some technical difficulties. Um, and we’re gonna share a little bit about the origins of the MarDreamings. So I’ve been involved with the MarDreaming event, um, um, pretty close to to the beginning. And one of the things that we always think about is, um, how how all these marketing teams around the world, not just in The US, not just in Canada, not just in India, are really doing the most with all these technologies. Right? And we wanted to make sure that when we were putting together this event, right, during COVID that we were showcasing all the hard work that marketers were doing that wasn’t normally getting recognized. So that was one of our first reasons for creating this, and then that led into the four carriers that we’re gonna be talking about today. Uh, those being personalization perfection, grassroots innovation, extending Salesforce through the API, social impact. And as we grew, we created a best in show category. And then last year, we started doing a couple of honorable mentions that were really close to, you know, winning some of these categories, but we just wanted to make sure that we were highlighting as many marketers as we possibly could. So these awards are a way for us to celebrate and, again, recognize that hard work that marketers like like you, uh, who are often behind the scenes, uh, you know, sending campaigns, cleaning up list, uploading, all that type of things. And we are essentially very excited to, uh, show off this year’s submissions, uh, to each and every one of you. So if you join us in the morning, we talked a little bit about community, and all of these were submitted from the community, vendors, partners, customers, and users. And so we’re just really excited to, um, to be here. So with that being said, let’s go ahead and move into the first category, personalization perfection. And this is a category that means just quite a bit to me because it’s all about sending the right message at the right time. Right? And so, um, I’m here also, marketing manager at SurContin. So this is something that we’re always looking to do and to perfect. So with that said, uh, this category, uh, talks a little bit more about the impact that we can create with one to one personalized experiences that are relevant to our audience and show that we, uh, know them and that we can pay attention, uh, to them and also where they’re at in our journey. So this year’s winner for personalization perfection has exemplified all of these qualities and is an inspiration to not only me but also the entire marketing community. Without further ado, the 2023 MarDreamy’s personalization perfection award goes to Grupo Carret and their personalized shopping cart coupon at the last step of the purchase experience solution. Now we’re gonna go ahead and dive a little bit deeper with a quick video from Grupo Caret as they share a little bit about their solution. Alright. We’re gonna go ahead and share it, um, a different way to just make sure that we can get.
Speaker 2: In the past few years, we’ve been having an opportunity to increase our sales at our website. We had records stating that there were customers that followed every step of the purchase, but at the last step, they didn’t finish and left the website. The automatic marketing team worked with the company Hexagon to implement coupons that would appear at the last step of the purchase process if the customer stayed there for a few seconds, giving the customer one more chance to buy. This implementation was made using marketing cloud engagement and personalization to transfer the coupon data from our data extensions using personalization’s usage segments to show the correct coupon with the appropriate product and discount to the customer. This project generated increased overall sales and improved the customer experience. In the tourism industry, there are few examples of companies using this kind of implementation and innovation in their own websites, competing with big international travel agencies.
Speaker 1: Well, that was awesome. Um, I know that I I always sign up for newsletters and things to get 20% off and then come back and buy. So that was that was great. Um, I’m gonna go ahead and pass it over now to Chris Zulu to talk about our next category, grassroots innovation.
Speaker 3: Thanks, Marcos. Hey, everybody. I’m Chris Zula, and I’m excited to be here to present this year’s Grassroots Innovation Award. This category is purposed for the teams that are scaling their business with scaling, uh, with Salesforce marketing tools. There is so much that can be done with the foundational features of the platform. And when fully leveraged, teams can do great things and achieve their goals. So what does grassroots innovation mean to me? It’s really just using what you have, taking advantage of the capabilities, uh, within your team and within the available, uh, functionality. And so this year’s winner is a great reminder of what a difference, uh, fully adopting and using the foundational features of the platform can make. And the 2023 Marjini Grassroots Innovation Award goes to TSI for their optimizing their lead management process to better serve their prospects and customer solutions. TSI is an industry leader engineering and manufacturing measurement instruments to make their job easier for aerosol science and evaluating airflow, indoor air quality, fluid dynamics, and biohazard detection. Serving a global market, their team wanted to streamline the lead management process. And through reconfiguring their custom sales inquiries object and using Salesforce flows triggered from a marketing cloud account engagement form, they increased their responsiveness to better serve prospects and customers by 35%. Congratulations again to the t s I to TSI for winning the Grassroots Innovation Award, and now I’ll pass it off to Bill Feder to present this year’s Extending Salesforce Award.
Speaker 4: Thank you, Chris. I’m Bill Feder. I’m happy to be here to present this year’s Extending Salesforce Award. This category focuses on featuring teams that are coming up with innovative API delivered solutions. Our CRM databases are super powered when we can integrate multiple parts of the tech stack, and that helps teams and leadership make more well informed data driven decisions. So what extending Salesforce means to me is that sometimes when we’re trying to automate all the things, we come across something that would be incredibly helpful to automate, but the system just as, uh, as built just won’t do it. So the APIs exist to transfer data between systems, of course, but they also exist so that we can evaluate data elsewhere and transfer a command back to take an action in the core system. So this year’s winner is a great inspiration in what can be done when Salesforce is connected with other systems, and it’s a fantastic example of an answer to a problem that all email marketers have suffered with and that many of us have wished for for a long time. So I’m extremely excited about this solution, and the long wait for something to come along that has this capability has been made possible by this award winning solution. And it thoughtfully incorporates AI also into the workflow to make it all the more useful. So I’m sure you’re dying to know what it is that’s got me so excited. Well, here it is. The 2023 Extended Salesforce Award goes to Cypress Learning Solutions for their reply intelligence solution. Finally, a solution to automate what happens when someone replies to your account engagement marketing email. Now we’ll hear from Cypress Learning Solutions team with this video sharing a little bit about reply intelligence.
Speaker 5: Thank you, Mark Dreamin 2023, for recognizing Reply Intelligence for the extending Salesforce award. Reply Intelligence was started a couple of years ago when we realized that email marketers, particularly email marketers using Pardot, marketing cloud account engagement, needed to be able to track more than just clicks and opens. Over the years, we had created different solutions for clients, combining different solutions, different tools, email parsing tools, things like that together, and band aiding these solutions to get the job done. Eventually, we asked the question, there’s got to be a better way to deliver this solution. And that’s where the idea of Reply Intelligence was born. So what we set out to do was create an application that would give particularly marketing cloud account engagement users the ability to create automations, trigger automations inside of the platform based off of an email reply. Since then, we’ve extended it to work directly with Salesforce and other email marketing tools, and we continue developing new features like enhancing the AI to be able to detect emails better and other things to just make it run faster, run smoother, and to be able to do the things that we know marketers want to accomplish when they’re looking to track engagement off of inbound emails or email replies from their marketing campaigns. A big shout out to everyone who’s involved in putting together this event and all of the dream and events, all of the attendees who are regularly showing up every single day, doing the right things to get better, be a professional, be an expert at what you do. It means a lot to pushing the industry and technology forward, and this couldn’t be done without you. Have a great rest of 2023. Look forward to doing it all again next year. Thanks, everyone.
Speaker 4: Well, congratulations again to Cypress Learning Solutions for the extending Salesforce award. Now I will pass it off to Julie Rascoe, VP of marketing at Lexipol, who is also last year’s social impact award winner, to present this year’s social impact award.
Speaker 6: Thank you, Bill. And hi, everyone. My name is Julie Rascoe. And as Bill said, we were last year’s social impact award winner. So I’m very excited to present this year’s award. The social impact category is all about creating positive change through Salesforce. And when organizations are dedicated to doing this, it helps make the world a better place. At Lexipol, we’re dedicated to creating positive change for individuals and communities, which is why it excites me to highlight another organization that also exemplifies these same qualities. Our winner is using the marketing tools to make sure the information they send out to an important audience segment is received with the right message at the right time. And the 2023 Marjreamy Social Impact Award goes to Veterans Guardian for their Successfully Segmenting an Audience Solution. Congratulations. Now we’ll hear from the Veterans Guardian team with this video sharing a little bit more about their solution.
Speaker 7: Hello. My name is Avery McKenzie. I am the marketing coordinator at Veterans Guardian VA Claim Consulting. And on behalf of the team, I would like to say a big thank you. We are honored to accept this year’s Social Impact Award for the twenty twenty three MoreDreamies. At Veterans Guardian, we assist veterans with receiving the maximum VA rating due to their honorable service to the nation. Since 2018, we have communicated and been in contact with over 83,000 veterans via phone, email, and SMS text. Our challenge was that the ever growing number of veterans needed to receive the right message at the right time. Our goal was to move away from our specialists sending the bulk of the messaging manually so we could not only standardize our brand voice, but also allow our specialists to focus more on customer service. To accomplish this, we sorted through all of our Salesforce flows, determined where we liked touch points, and segmented our audience based on where they were in our client journey. We were able to segment our audience into 74 marketing cloud journeys. The results we experienced based on the comparison from our twenty twenty three, twenty twenty two email statistics were a decreased bounce rate of 3.88%, an increased open rate of 30.84%, and an increased unique click through of 38.15%. This audience segmentation allowed us to ensure that our veterans received the right message at the right time. Thank you again for choosing us for the Social Impact Award.
Speaker 6: Congratulations again to Avery and everyone at the Veterans Guardian team for winning the Social Impact Award. The stats were impressive. I know that we can all say that we can appreciate the amount of effort it took to do 74 different journeys. Now I’ll pass it back to Jen Kazen to present this year’s best in show award.
Speaker 8: Thank you, Julie. Hi, everyone. My name is Jen Kazen. I’m very excited to present this year’s best in show award. Uh, this award is intended for a solution that really stood out among the rest and encompassed a few of the award care categories in one entry. Being best in show reminds me of gymnastics. The top gymnast is very good in several events. In MarDreamings, best in show is a company that stood out in the innovation category as well as several other categories like personalization and use of systems. This year’s winners embodies these qualities with their solution. And the twenty twenty three best in show goes to Close Brothers Asset Finance for their Salesforce digital customer cycle solution. Now we’ll hear from the Close Brothers asset finance team with this video sharing a little bit about their solution.
Speaker 9: Yes. Come on. We are made up with this result. Thank you so much, MarDreamian. The team and I are honored to have won best in show at the MarDreamin’s twenty twenty three. Thank you. A massive well done to the digital team, to Juliet, to Nicole, to Spencer. This is a deserved reward for all of the hard work you do every day. Congratulations, guys. We’ve won it. Now close with us Asset Finance, we are proud to have won this award for creating a Salesforce customer digital cycle, which we spoke about in detail during my dreaming. So, hopefully, some of you saw that. Uh, but if you don’t know us, though, we are a UK b two b merchant bank, and serving our customers is our highest priority, and the goal for this project was to to improve that service. Now to achieve that, we wanted to keep as much of systems for our customers interact with within our Salesforce org, including our websites, including our email communications, but also all of our reporting and our analytics. This allows us to have full control over every element and digital tool that we use, but also see the success of every campaign and marketing channel that we that we manage as well. So there’s also no more reliance on third party agency, so everything for digital marketing can be managed in house by our now award winning digital team. Since this went live in June, we have seen multiple benefits, um, the main one being for our digital team because they can now manage everything autonomously. There’s nothing we can’t can’t manage in house. But also for the company, um, managing one single platform within Salesforce makes it much easier. And also for our customers as we’re able to improve the, uh, uh, the customer journey for them online as well as improve personalization. So thank you once again, MarDreamer, for this award. We are truly honored to have won best in show at the MarDreamys twenty twenty three.
Speaker 8: Excellent. I love your energy, Jonathan, and congratulations again to the Close Brothers asset finance team for winning the best in show award. Now I’ll pass it off to Christina Anderson for some honorable mentions.
Speaker 0: Thank you so much, Jen. Um, as Jen mentioned, uh, we didn’t want to conclude this, uh, session without providing some honorable mentions because as I said earlier, there were so many amazing submissions that proved just how innovative and, um, creative you all are being with the platform and bringing ideas to your teams. It’s very exciting. And because your submissions were so great, it was very difficult to choose just one category per winner. So, uh, first off, a big congratulations to our winners, uh, John Deider. I love, um, your thank you in the chat. Yes. Big congratulations to all of our winners. And we wanted to share some honorable mentions for some exceptional entries that really did stand out among the rest. And our honorable mentions this year go to Brain Tumor Charity for their Inspires Optimized Donations, customer journeys with Deselect Engage, AdventHealth for leveraging real time data to power next best actions, Cesium for TikTok ads for marketing cloud, California Association of Realtors for localized housing market data, JR Simplot Company for welcome series to engaged audience, and Hilton Supply Management for making the connections. Thank you all so much for delivering such amazing, um, entries and sharing your stories with us. It’s just another inspiration to this community of all that can be accomplished with the platform. And now I’ll pass it back to Marcos for some more giveaways.
Speaker 1: Alright. Thank you so much. Let’s see. Christina, let me come back on video. Here we go. We did go ahead and throw a a poll out on the right side of your screen.
